Downhill Racing

Turn right. Turn left. Go FAST!

Downhill racing is a great opportunity to hone one's skills, and Mt Molson is a great teaching hill. If you can ski here, you can ski anywhere!

The PSSC is a member of the Upper Ottawa Valley Ski Zone (UOVSZ), providing downhill ski racing opportunities for children and youth on two teams:

The Nancy Greene League for racers 4 to 11 years that are timed as part of team
The Paterson Team for racers 12 to 16 years that are timed individually

Racers train at Mt Molson on Saturdays from 1pm to 3pm.

Mt Antoine, Mattawa

Both teams race locally at hills in Petawawa and Deep River. Racers can also compete as part of the UOVSZ at invitational races in Calabogie, Mt Pakenham and Mattawa.

Racers who excel and wish to compete at higher levels, are welcome to represent the UOVSZ within the National Capital Division or even higher. Petawawa racer, Randa Teschner, is an alumnus of Mt Molson who is currently competing for Ontario at the National level.
